"Hutovo blato" Nature Park was established in 1995. It is located in southeast Herzegovina, on the left side of river Neretva, covering the territory of Čapljina and Stolac municipalities. The total area covers 7411 ha.

The Public Enterprise "Hutovo blato" Nature Park was established in 1995. The main operation of the enterprise are protection, improvement and use of space through sustainable development, primarily of tourism, fishing, etc.

The Park employs 19 people, of which 11 are game wardens. The seat of the Public Enterprise "Hutovo Blato" Nature Park is in Karaotok, which is where other departments important for the Park are also located.

Working hours of the public enterprise are 7:00 - 15:00 on working days, while some departments are operational 0 - 24:00 even during the holidays. Regular circling around the Park is carried out by the game warden department. As a part of this effort, game wardens have specific areas of responsibility within the Park.
